If you’re a sensitive person, you probably “pick up” energies and emotions of other people.

While blending with others is a natural part of being in our world, sometimes the “excess energy” is just too much for you to process.

Stagnant emotional energy can lead to health issues but here’s the empowering news — clearing stagnant energy can help avoid illness and help you heal faster.

Here are 6 rituals that I use in my daily spiritual practice. I hope they’re validating and useful for you.

🧿 Move your desk so that you can see the door. This is called the “Commander’s Position” and derives from the ancient Chinese practice of feng shui.

Being able to see who’s coming and going from your space gives you a sense of calm and stability, so that you can help others from a place of feeling grounded and ready to serve.

You’ll find that energies you’ve asked for will come into your space and you’ll be ready to welcome them with gratitude. Protect your space so you can share it with Kindred Spirits.

🧿 Before you get out of bed in the morning, recall your dreams. Your dreams have messages to help you throughout your day.

For example, if you dream that you missed a deadline, then you’ll put effort into checking your calendar for any upcoming bills, meetings, or events for which you need to prepare. Use the power of your dreams to support your success and protect your time and energy.

🧿 Dress appropriately for the weather. When your body feels too hot or too cold, you won’t have as much access to your intuition.

Sustaining your body’s preferred temperature helps you to respond to aspects of your environment that are out of your control.

Remember — worrying doesn’t help anyone. But if you must, focus your worry on what you can control. Take the action necessary to help you feel safer. Then leave the rest to Spirit.

For example, when I give mediumship readings outdoors, I dress in layers. As your loved ones in Spirit start streaming into my body, I get really hot because Spirit is moving through me. I find it helpful to peel off the layers as I serve you and your loved ones in Spirit.

🌿 3 Ways to Cleanse Your Energy

🧼 Enjoy a salt bath. Salt water purifies your body, mind, and Soul. We came from water. Returning to the water is healing and cleansing.

Add at least one cup of magnesium salts or epsom salts to your bath water. If you like, add a few drops of lavender essential oil. (Lavender raises your energy to the level of Spirit and has natural disinfecting properties — I use it all the time during pranic energy healings to clean my hands and the space I’m working in).

🧼 Bless your space. Water moving through air draws energetic impurities toward it. Water with magic in it does it even faster.

Put 20-30 drops of lemon or lavender essential oil into a 4 ounce spray bottle with filtered water. You can spray this at your office desk, in your home entry way, or any space where there’s high traffic.

You can say a special blessing while you spray, and ask your Spirit Guides to cleanse the unwanted energy away.

For example, between sessions, I always spray. If a Kindred Spirit is having a hard time with information they’re sharing, I spray to lighten my energy so they can energetically feel there’s a space for them to share what they have to say.

I also use this spray between pranic healing sessions, to cleanse the unwanted energy I’m removing from a Kindred Spirit’s chakras. This process protects my energy and protects the person I’m healing.

🧼 Tune your space. Play music to clean your space. Music is vibration. Vibration changes the molecules in the air. Sound can affect your brain waves and elicit ecstatic states of healing and joy.

After a long day or experiencing an exchange that you don’t want to hold onto, play music to cleanse your space.

You can also chime your meditation bells or your Tibetan singing bowl to unlock more peace in your energetic atmosphere.
