5 Reasons Why Your Departed Loved One Hasn’t Visited in a Dream…
When loved ones leave this world, they cross into the next realm—the Spirit world. We can connect with the Spirit world through our dreams. So then, why haven’t your departed loves ones visited in a dream yet?
1. You’re used to their energy.
Your departed loved ones are always around you. You’re used to their energy, so it can be difficult for you to notice them. This means that when you are asleep, they are always with you. When you are awake, they are always around you. They are always sending you signs in waking life and in dreams. While mediumship readings with a trustworthy medium can connect you to your loved ones, dreams are a wonderful way to experience your loved one’s energy on your own.
2. You don’t recognize their new language
When your loved one passes into the Spirit world, they have to learn a new language. They are without a mouth, a brain, a body, etc. They learn to communicate with us through symbology and signs. You may no be able to understand their new language. It takes time. Be patient. Take notes. You will soon be able to recognize their new way of communicating. Trance states can help you connect more deeply with your loved one. You might explore this in a trance healing so you can receive their sacred presence and receive their messages.
3. Timing
Your loved one will absolutely come to you in a dream when the time is right for you. Everyone grieves in their own way. Spirit wants to support you on your journey. Connect to the Spiritual world and grieving are two different processes. Take your time. There is no rush to heal. Yes, connecting with Spirit and grieving can happen at the same time. How this happens largely depends on the individual and the Spirit. In fact, you’re probably already hearing from them regularly, but you just can’t identify it yet (see reasons 1 and 2). When you grieve, you’re learning to let go so you can make more room for your new relationship with your loved one. A grief healing may help you release cleansing tears so that you can come into sacred space with your loved one more often.
4. Gripping
There’s this thing that happens in Life. It’s called “gripping.” We grip for survival. We grip as a coping mechanism. We grip because change is too scary. We think we’ll die if we surrender to the power of the Divine Source. This is true. When you surrender, you die. That is, you shift. There is no “death”, remember? Only change.
If you’re living in a fixed state of expectation and holding out for the same life you knew before they passed, then you will need more time to make your transformation. Once you let go and fall into the grief, you can move through it. Spirit will come to you once you’ve make the choice to fall through.
When I say fall through, I mean to feel fully, the emotional turmoil that grief offers you…as an invitation to your transformation. Grief is not good or bad. It’s an invitation for growth. Make the decision to understand grief as an ongoing process. Commit to it and…Spirit will show up. Help is here if you need wellness support through your surrender.
5. Rear-view Mirror
Your loved ones can take a while to show up if their life is too close in their review mirror. They need time to acclimate to their new environment. Everyone gets a Soul/Life review upon crossing. For those who did a lot of spiritual work before they transitioned, the move to the Upstairs Room gives them an ability to communicate sooner after passing. If they weren’t particularly good at communicating, or weren’t interested in the Afterlife, then it could take some time. Be patient. They will come through.
There you have it! FIVE reasons why your loved one hasn’t visited in a dream.
